This is what ONE looks like

I'm still reeling over this milestone.  I don't feel like she's one.... until she does one of her latest tricks.  Sometimes I have no idea how I got here.  How I was able to be so blessed over and over.  I'm beyond thankful for all the special moments we've had this past year.  Especially witnessing first hand all the looks of wonder in her eyes.  From the moment she arrived it's been like a dream.  Her arrival that late night plays over and over again and from that moment on I feel like everything is how it should be.  It's hard to imagine what life was like before Marlow.  It's like falling in love all over again. I don't think I every truly felt so full...

Marlow's latest trick is "HOORAY!"  With Nana's help, she's mastered putting both of her hands and arms straight up to the sky when we say hooray.  In this photo I was telling her hooray but she's smart enough not to let go and looked like she was in the rodeo.

Having a 1 year old is more fun than I could've imagined.  Marlow's had a fever after one of her vaccinations and I could tell her head was hurting her yesterday.  After her night time bath I gently rubbed on her damp hair to get it dry.  She looked at me wide eyed with a look of uncomfort and grabbed at her head.  In the morning I pulled her smiling face out of her crib and hugged her.   I was dumbfounded when she reached her hands above and said, "head!".  I asked her if her head felt better and she said, "yeah."  She is so ready to talk.  She'll say hat, Bella, water, more, bye, eye and lately she's been trying her hardest to say soft.  She loves snuggling on her cozy soft blanket and tries to get out the "f" sound.  Still no walking though... but this household is in no hurry for that one.

Her favorite toy has to be her giant ball pit.  I must get some photos of her play room.  Definitely the best idea ever!

Her favorite food continues to be raspberries but is followed by waffles dipped in yogurt and bagels and cream cheese.  The only veggie she will eat is broccoli and she is carnivore to the core.... favoring her daddy's grilling skills of course.  She loves steak.

Marlow's Valentine Party

It really was a fun day for Marlow.  We had lots of yummy treats and all the children passed out Valentine's and all the moms got so creative with thier boxes.  One box even lit up!! It was fantastic.  Take a look...

Patio Work

hmmm.... it just came to me... HELLO?!!  We were completely busy in February.  We got to finish the patio and finally repaint the exercise room... err, umm, I mean Marlow's playroom.... yes, how funny things change in a year.  So happy to check those things off the list!!!  And when I say we finished the patio I mean I'm beyond impressed with my hubby's skills.  We even put new sod down!

Before-ish photos
Of course the hubby has to get his handy work in there and added the ceiling fans, speakers and TV on his own.

We still would like to add quite a bit more love this spring/summer but our first outdoor furniture purchase was this great table!  I love that we can store the cushions inside the table.

Valentine Wrap Up

Seriously, I don't even remember February.  I mean it completely flew by.  Probably because I spent most of the month working on Marlow's big ONE.... her first birthday.  Probably also because I seemed to be an emotional mess about it.  Not really in a bad way, I just couldn't believe how fast the year went by.  I put together a little memory book for her and just looking back each time made me feel so teary eyed.  Happy tears.  I just couldn't believe how a year changes things.  How two years changes things.

Anyways back to February. Since I couldn't seem to remember much I had to look through my camera...
I mostly remember trying to take her Valentine photos outside but it was always sooo cold.  Oh we did have a fun Valentine Party but I cannot seem to find our photos!  Grrr....  birthday post coming up!
