Bella gets an upgrade

So I hated the look of Bella's bowl. Once upon a time it looked great and it's so functional. After visiting This Young House and Bryn's blog... I was inspired to finally give Bella's bowl a little tlc. Take a look at the gross before and the white hot after! I'm putting together a little graphic to put on the front... I'm thinking just a monogram B... something simple. All I did was sand it down and spray paint it. I added a water resistant gloss at the end.

Cute Placemats

Finally!! It took some searching but I finally settled on some placemats I love. I was so desperate to find something I actually purchased a sewing machine to make my own. Of course a few days later I found these cuties on mega clearance! $3.00 for 4!! I bought a couple of sets in case they get stained easily. They go perfect with the gray blue in the kitchen. I'm not a huge fan of keeping them on the table but they are perfect for company.

Neutrals I need in my life...

I know all the rage is color right now and as much as I've loved splashes of lemon yellow, hot pink, and royal purple.... I'm just craving simple neutrals lately... white, beige and gold...love it! Here are some looks from BCBG and JCrew.

The curtain quest continues

So those curtains had to go... they were a bit too sheer for what we needed. Mr. Terrific loved the pattern but I needed something more opaque. I'm currently testing out the Aqua colored silk dupioni's from West Elm... but I have these coming in the mail from Pottery Barn.

Light and airy

I picked up these new curtains at West Elm the other day. I'm hoping to try them out in the living room to see if they'll work out. I love the moroccan look. I'm tired of looking at my chocolate brown and blue ones curtains. Now that it's warming up I'm on the lookout for some light and airy looks for the living room. We've been on the hunt for new couches so I have a design board in progress...

Special kudos to the husband for putting up the new ceiling fans in the house!

Shoes I love!

So some of these I love and some I had to have!! They are all pretty reasonable at dsw! My favorite is defintely the nude peeptoe. I went with a pump instead but I love them!

New makeup!

So I was having a horrible day at work the other day. So stressed with a big event coming up!! I decided to treat myself on the day of the event and actually take a lunch. Off I went to Saks for a quick mini makeover. It was awesome! I have to rave about Bobbi Brown's new products!

Check out the new Skin Foundation SPF 15. The coverage is amazing and the base is so warm that I felt totally fresh looking...even a bit bronzed. Can't beat the extra SPF either. It lasted all day and I even got compliments on great my skin looked.
