What's a day for Marlow like?

A day in the life of Marlow.... just about 2 months!

From Marlow...

Please excuse my hair, my daddy and momma take turns at the bath and mom combs it while daddy spikes it up. As you can see daddy bathed me last.

To fill my day I often...

Stare at the ceiling fan a bit.

Think of ways to entertain my mom.

Make faces at mom when trying to be changed.

Stare at my mom with my cute face.

Stick the tongue out at her because it makes her chuckle.

okay... now off to nap

Marlow's Auntie stopped by and brought us lunch the other day. It was so wonderful to sit and catch up. My sister always has the most delicious and healthy recipes to share so I was so excited when she brought over some tasty breads from a local bakery. My favorite was the spinach provolone... oh soo good. We didn't go quite healthy with it, I mean c'mon it's bread. But we defintely brought out the flavors!

We added a little bit of Smart Balance butter

some shredded parmesan

a sprinkle of oregano and basil

layered some low fat pepperoni

topped it off with mozzarella and bake...voila!

**sigh**

I sigh because time is just going by soo fast. I'm so bummed I haven't had time for an update, but Marlow and I have just been having way too much fun! My little ladybug is almost 2 months and I've been packing up her newborn clothes.... sob.

We're working on some cute little tutu's that are sooo easy to make! You know that must mean time for another photo shoot :)

Monday Must have's... Mommy gear

For some reason Marlow is always a pure delight on Mondays. Maybe she's tuckered out from the weekends or maybe I just have more energy. Either way I seem to always have time for me again on Monday and life seems easy.... well as easy as life can be with a 1 month old.

I'm thinking of starting a Monday Must have's for each week and it seems only natural to kick it off with Mommy gear that gets me through the week.

My must haves for this week!

1. 30 day Shred work out video - That's right... exercise... it's a mommy must have. Of course everyone is different but I actually felt ready to hit the weights by 2 weeks post partum and this video has been my savior. 20 min to tone is just what I need with a an unobliging baby girl. Some days it takes me 3 tries to really get through it, but if I start over each time it's really a great work out. Thank you Jillian.

2. Moby - I think we tried about 3 different slings and I really love this one! There's several different holds (for nursing too). I can actually get some things done around the house with this hands free wrap.

3. Wipee Warmer - I know everyone says not really get one. In fact we didn't register for it and only bought one after the 3rd week. Which is right around the time my husband went back to work and night time diaper duty became all mine. Our little girl hated the cold wipes in the middle of the night so I figured if I'm changing her, I'm getting it. We're all a bit happier with those night time changings.

4. Wink post pregnancy compression garment - want to get that flat belly back... get this!

5. Balance ball - This is just about the only way Marlow will really get to sleep. She's not much for rocking or walking around but bounce on this and she's out!

Everyone was right... the time flies by sooo fast. I stopped yesterday to capture my little beauty. I can't believe she's already 4 weeks. She surprised us both and slept a whole 5 hours last night!! Sometimes she's such a dream baby....don't you think?

She's been doing great!
